Provides consultative services and support for Access & Opportunity issues and initiatives which impact leaders and teammates at Advocate Health. Makes recommendations to leader for the development, design, and roll out of programs and initiatives with guidance from Access & Opportunity leaders and team members. Acts as a subject matter expert on policies, procedures, and fundamentals of all core areas of Access & Opportunity for Advocate Health teammates and leaders.
Job Description
Major Responsibilities
- Provides strategic advice and consultation to leaders regarding complex issues for assigned market.
- Conducts and participates in surveys; prepares pre- and post-survey analyses of Access & Opportunity initiatives.
- Leads and actively participates on project teams in the development and implementation of comprehensive Access & Opportunity programs and change initiatives.
- Assists with research and application of best practices to enhance Access & Opportunity strategy implementation.
- Consults with leaders to plan and collect data to assess workplace environment by analyzing Access & Opportunity indicators and recommends programs or actions.
- Supports planning and execution of Access & Opportunity events.
- Works collaboratively with leaders to identify and apply best practices, recognize recurring issues, problems, and trends that may require a recalibration of Access & Opportunity policy and practice across the system, and ensure that assigned market is receiving the highest level of experience and expertise possible.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for the assigned market and provides strategic consultative services to key stakeholders.
Minimum Education, Experience Required
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in related fields such as Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, or related field.
Experience Required: 3 years in consultative role in healthcare field related to diversity.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, computer skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
- Experience with PeopleSoft or other HR Information Systems preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Work requires typing, filing, use of telephone and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
- Stretching, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling are required a moderate amount of the time. May lift and carry up to 40 pounds on an intermittent basis. Some standing and walking is required.
- Must speak and understand English fluently. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate and concentrate effectively. Good hearing is required for related communications.
