Responsibilities:
Visiting Angels West Springfield is a leading in-home care agency in Western Massachusetts that offers homecare services to seniors, veterans, and disabled adults. Michele Anstett started the business in 1999 and operates as Owner, President, and Director for the West Springfield franchise.
Since 1999, the home-care industry has changed dramatically in the Pioneer Valley and Greater Springfield Area. Anstett’s experience growing the business for the past 25 years in an evolving sector makes her uniquely equipped to handle the modern challenges of the industry and successfully direct the business.
Anstett’s franchise was the ninth franchise in the Visiting Angels network, which has since increased in size to over 600 agencies in the US and even more internationally. With her guidance as Owner and President, the franchise has grown to provide over 80,000 hours of care annually, helping seniors to maintain a sense of independence, dignity, and quality of life in their own home setting. Anstett brings dedication, compassion, experience, and attention to detail to the role – fundamental skills for successful leadership in the ever-evolving home-care industry.
Now, with over two decades of servicing the Hampden County region, Visiting Angels has helped over 4,000 seniors maintain a sense of independence, dignity and quality of life in their own home or assisted care setting. While Visiting Angels has grown since 1999, they continue to build lasting relationships by offering that same, family-like compassionate care and dependability since day one.

Visiting Angels West Springfield provides in-home care, senior homecare, elderly care, personal care, transitional care, fall prevention care, companion care, respite care, palliative care, dementia care and Alzheimer's care. Services span from 1 hour visits to 24/7 care.
We service Southampton, Westfield, Southwick, Holyoke, West Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, Springfield, Indian Orchard, Longmeadow, East Longmeadow, Wilbraham, Ludlow, Feeding Hills and Montgomery. The franchise covers the entire Greater Springfield Area and most of the Lower Pioneer Valley region. Visiting Angels of West Springfield has official accreditation from the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts. We have also received Home Care Pulse’s award for Best of Home Care - Provider of Choice every year since 2015.

Responsibilities:
- Transport clients to and from appointments, errands, etc.
- Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
- Care for patients by changing bed linens, doing laundry, cleaning the home, or assisting with personal care
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor
- Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert
- 1+ years of experience in direct care
- Punctuality, reliability, compassion, patience, empathy
- Strong ability to read, write, understand, and speak English so as to:
- Read ADL's
- Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff
- Vehicle or transportation
- Ability to add Business Class 30 to car insurance
- Valid MA Driver's License
- Pass a background check
- At least 2 professional references (not friends)
- Be willing to accept at least 1 e/o weekend shift
- Read ADL's
- Communicate verbally with clients, families, co-workers, and administrative staff
- HHA or CNA certification (not required, we work with applicants to get HCA certified)
