Job Details

The FinOps Financial Analyst plays a critical role in advancing the adoption of public cloud services at Cencora. This position is responsible for compiling, analyzing, and reporting on cloud financial data across various organizational units to ensure the maximization of business value. The successful candidate will collaborate with diverse stakeholders to optimize public cloud consumption and promote the growth of public cloud services within the company. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in financial analysis, strong customer engagement skills, and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute complex tasks in various financial functions, including budgeting, auditing, forecasting, and analysis related to public cloud expenditures across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud.
  • Collect and review usage, operational, and financial data from multiple sources.
  • Perform financial analyses to assist Business Owners in determining the impacts of cloud adoption on their operations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to transform how Cencora utilizes cloud-based analytics platforms, contributing to the enhancement of future capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with data teams across Cencora to ensure alignment and integration of financial data.
  • Define the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and assess the business value of transitioning to public cloud solutions.
  • Develop, execute, maintain, and track the organization’s cloud reservation portfolio.
  • Analyze accounts associated with assigned business owners, focusing on cloud usage patterns and capacity requirements.
  • Support cost owners in managing, tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as needed.
  • Provide recommendations to cost owners for improving financial optimization strategies.
  • Develop plans for assigned accounts and monitor performance against established targets.
  • Assist in the development of optimization policies and guidelines to enhance cloud financial management.
  • Conduct regular audits and analyses of optimization efforts, reviewing practices and procedures to ensure that new resources are approved and aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify areas of financial risk and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant public cloud optimization, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance or business analysis.

Work Experience:

  • Proven expertise in cloud optimization is essential.
  • Experience managing cloud portfolios exceeding $5 million annually.
  • Background in managing cloud reservations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with FinOps concepts or possession of FinOps Certifications is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud financial management, particularly in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in Excel or other financial analysis platforms.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Skills And Knowledge:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accounting, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business, Finance, Analytics or related discipline.
  • Normally requires a minimum of four (4) years related and progressively responsible experience in IT, accounting and/or finance.
  • General knowledge of IT products and services.
  • Understanding FinOps concepts or FinOps Certifications preferred.

  • Proficiency in the use of Excel spreadsheet or other related platforms for financial analysis.

  • Ability to deliver results under pressure, while able to balance multiple and sometimes competing priorities and achieving deadlines

Salary Range:

€3,129- €4,471 gross per month
