We’re looking for a DevOps Technical Lead to join our newly established DevOps & Run Team in the Data & AI CoE at Prague’s NN Digital Hub. Join a collaborative, international environment where you’ll shape enterprise-scale AI and DevOps delivery, work hands-on with Azure, Databricks, and Kubernetes, and continuously grow through innovation and learning.
Your impact at NN
This senior individual-contributor role blends hands-on engineering with technical leadership. As DevOps Tech Lead you’ll act as a virtual/product lead for the DevOps & Infra chapter on specific products and platforms. You’ll define and implement patterns, toolchains and guardrails that enable squads to deliver AI, ML and digital services securely and efficiently.
The Tasks You Will Perform:
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Act as SME and virtual lead for DevOps & Infra in cross-functional squads.
- Define and evolve DevOps patterns for Databricks, Azure and Kubernetes workloads.
- Provide architectural input on reliability, security and cost optimization.
- Architect and run CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks, ML models and Azure services.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform, Bicep, GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux).
- Deploy and operate AKS clusters, Helm charts and observability stacks.
- Partner with data engineers, ML engineers and product squads to streamline deployments.
- Work closely with Group IT and Security to enforce standards and integrate policy-as-code.
- Coach squads on Azure DevOps practices and cloud-native reliability.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Evaluate and implement emerging tools (Asset Bundles, Delta Live Tables, LangChain orchestration).
- Enable self-service deployment frameworks and InnerSource DevOps assets.
- Drive FinOps and cost-optimization practices across Databricks and Azure services.
What we expect from you
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Platform engineering.
- Deep expertise with Azure and Kubernetes, plus hands-on Databricks (or readiness to deepen quickly). Proficiency in at least one major toolchain area (CI/CD, IaC, observability, or DevSecOps), with readiness to learn others.
- Experience optimizing cloud cost and reliability at enterprise scale.
- Curiosity and willingness to explore emerging technologies (e.g. ArgoCD/Flux, LangChain, Asset Bundles)
- Excellent cross-team collaboration and technical leadership skills.
- Advanced English proficiency required for working in an international environment.

What is hiring process with us like
Once we review your application and English CV, Veronika (Talent Acquisition Partner - RPO) will give you a short introductory call to discuss the open position.
If the initial conversation goes well, you’ll be invited to two interview rounds. The first round will ideally take place in person at our Prague office (or online) with Adrian (Head of the Data Science Hub/Hiring Manager) and Veronika. In the second round, you’ll meet several members of the team you may soon be joining.
