Responsible for overseeing and effective and timely execution of all aspects of food service operations throughout the Club. Consistently ensures proper set up, maintenance, and break down of all a la carte services. Assist with the development and implementing of Service Staff training standards. Maintain and communicate expectations and service goals to staff on a consistent basis. All other duties applicable to Food service staff.

Supervisory Duties/Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs all duties and responsibilities applicable to servers.
  • Responsibilities include supervising, directing, coaching, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervision of all servers, bartenders, bussers, and food runners.
  • Examines dining rooms, stations, and service areas and makes sure they are clean and fully stocked for service.
  • Conducts orientation training of new employees to explain Club policies, foodservice work procedures, and to demonstrate such policies and procedures.
  • Attends training seminars to perfect his/her techniques and procedures, and enhance supervisory skills.
  • Reports to management any and all changes, concerns, or actions taken.
  • Ensure all opening/closing duties have been completed.
  • Be knowledgeable of all food and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage service methods employed at the Club.
  • Ensure all service stations and/or assigned area is stocked and maintained with silverware, china, sugar, creamers, tea box, iced tea and coffee, etc. as described in the station setup sheet.
  • Adherence to Club’s uniform and grooming policy.
  • Adherence to schedules and attendance at all staff meetings.
  • Seat guests in the absence of the host/manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience / License / Qualifications:

  • Previous server experience in high volume restaurant/club preferred.
  • Must speak, read, and write in English.
  • Local Pouring Permit

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to speak and hear
  • Close and distance vision
  • Identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent walking with some standing at times
  • Will walk for long periods of time, possibly extended distances
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly

Working Conditions

  • May be indoor or outdoor setting depending on outlet
  • Varied weather conditions are expected
  • May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
