We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Partner to lead the cost function and oversee a team of business partners supporting the corporate services functions (COO, Finance, HR, Risk & Compliance, and Projects). This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, driving cost efficiency, financial discipline, and strategic insight across the organization. The individual will also have direct accountability for the budgeting and forecasting process for the Singapore office as well as the corporate services functions and ensure that financial performance and cost governance are aligned with business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of business partners dedicated to supporting corporate services functions.
  • Provide strategic direction, guidance, and oversight to ensure consistent, high-quality business partnering across the team.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, ensuring effective cross-functional engagement.

Business Partnering

  • Act as the senior finance partner to executives leading COO, Finance, HR, Risk & Compliance, and project functions.
  • Drive accountability for cost ownership and ensure financial insight supports strategic and operational decisions.
  • Provide challenge and independent perspective to leadership, balancing business needs with financial discipline.

Cost Management & Control

  • Lead the end-to-end cost management process, including planning, monitoring, reporting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with procurement, finance operations and regional finance teams to implement cost frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure efficient and accurate capturing and monitoring of costs against targets.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify actionable cost control measures and improve return on investment across corporate functions.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in cost reporting and decision-making.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate budgeting and forecasting process for the Singapore office and corporate services functions across Eastspring and ensure realistic data driven targets are established.
  • Deliver insightful management reporting, variance analysis, and forward-looking commentary to senior management.
  • Highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend proactive actions to ensure targets are met and resource allocations are optimised.

Projects & Change Initiatives

  • Provide financial oversight and governance of strategic projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure robust cost tracking and ROI evaluation of project investments.
  • Partner with business leaders to align project outcomes with broader corporate and financial objectives.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; professional qualification (CPA, CA, CFA, CIMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in FP&A, business partnering, or cost management, ideally within asset management, financial services, or related sectors.
  • Proven experience in leading teams of business partners or finance professionals.
  • Strong track record in cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence and challenge senior executives.
  • Experience in supporting corporate services and project oversight highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx highly desirable.
