Are you our new Sr. Engineer cover for Assortment & Space Management product team?

Are you motivated by building products that brings high value to our colleagues and retail partners? In Partner & Markets, we support the LEGO sales organisation as well as our retail partners with digital products. We are looking for a senior engineer cover to join Partner and Markets Technology.

*No relocation is offered for this position.*

Please also note, this is a fixed term contract parental cover position.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other Software Engineers to deliver both new functionality and iterative improvements to frontend and backend services
  • Build scalable and reusable components/services on the Amazon Web Services tech stack using Typescript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, Kubernetes and much more
  • Participate in code reviews and focus on sharing knowledge with other software engineers
  • Identify and resolve scalability and performance issues

The Assortment & Space Management team is one of several product teams within the Partner and Markets organisation, that oversees a broader range of solutions facing our LEGO Branded Retail stores, B2B Partners and the LEGO Sales organisations.

Knowledge sharing and bringing forth new ideas for improvements is a central part of your role to ensure that we constantly strive to produce the best possible quality in our digital products.

You will be part of the Partner & Markets area that is responsible for a broader range of solutions facing our partners and the LEGO sales organisation. We are organized in autonomous product teams working agile with end-to-end responsibility for our products, and we collaborate closely with the teams that drive the ‘Business to Business’ strategy and its execution for the LEGO Group.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • proven track record in software engineering
  • Detailed knowledge and working experience with backend Typescript and APIs
  • Hands-on experience working with services is preferred - our event-based services layer utilises Node.js and Kubernetes
  • Must be attentive to detail, flexible and able to work concurrently on multiple projects
  • Capability in resolving issues, conducting investigations, and navigating intricate challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good Interpersonal Skills

  • Experience of working with modern CI/CD and engineering tooling is a bonus – we harness Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes and GitHub Actions extensively
  • Passion for technology and open-source and eager to explore new technologies
  • Dedicated as well as an organized great teammate

Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
