The Senior Manger Tax Reporting and Accounting is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of global tax reporting and accounting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and other relevant standards. The role plays a critical part in delivering accurate and timely tax provisions, driving process optimization, managing tax-related risks, and act as a business partner to our local and global finance organization.

As a trusted partner to both local and global finance teams, you will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance tax reporting capabilities and implement technology solutions. The Senior Manager Tax Reporting and Accounting directly reports to the Global Head of Tax.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Lead the global tax accounting and reporting process under US GAAP including preparation of half-year and annual tax disclosures. Ensure timely and accurate tax provisioning for all reporting units of the Accelleron group. Monitor, assess and manage tax risks, including uncertain tax positions and deferred tax assets/liabilities. Implement internal controls and mitigation measurements.
  • Process Improvement and Technology: Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement of tax reporting and accounting processes. Lead the implementation and maintenance of tax technology solutions for tax reporting and accounting. Develop and maintain process documentation, tax accounting policies and internal guidance. Identify opportunities to leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Advisory and Business Partnering: Provide expert advice on tax accounting implications of complex business transactions, including M&A, divestitures and restructurings. Collaborate with Finance and IT to enhance data quality and reporting efficiency. Support the Group’s financial planning and forecasting process with tax related insights and analysis.
  • External Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure alignment and transparency. Coordinate and lead annual tax audits, respond to auditors’ queries and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Training and Communication: Develop and deliver training programs for our local finance organization on tax accounting principles and reporting requirements. Promote awareness and understanding of tax reporting obligations across the organization. Foster a culture of continuous learning.

Key Requirements and Qualifications

  • Education: Advanced degree in Taxation, Accounting, Law or Finance (e.g., Master of Taxation, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience in a multinational organization and an international professional services firm, strong knowledge of US GAAP tax accounting standards and global tax reporting frameworks, experience with SAP/S4H is a big plus.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate complex tax reporting concepts clearly and efficiently to stakeholders.
  • Personal Attributes: Organized, self-driven and capable of managing multiple tasks under time pressure. Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment and with changes in priorities.
  • Languages: Fluent in English.
