Sr. Director of AI Engineering

As the Sr. Director of AI Engineering, you will lead ADP’s AI Domain and Engineering organization by defining the vision, shaping the architecture, and delivering scalable, high-impact AI solutions that power products used by millions.   

What You’Ll Do:

• Set the vision: Define and execute the AI engineering roadmap aligned with ADP’s strategic priorities.
• Build the future: Design and scale domain-specific AI solutions that solve real-world client challenges.
• Deep collaboration: Partner with product, research, data science, and infrastructure teams to ensure AI is secure, scalable, and human-centered.
• Drive impact: Oversee end-to-end design, development, and deployment of AI-powered applications.
• Drive excellence: Champion best practices in model development, testing, and system integration.
• Responsible leadership: ensure robust, secure, and ethical use of AI aligned with ADP’s standards and industry best practices.
• Stay curious: explore emerging tools, technologies, and approaches in Generative AI to keep ADP at the forefront of innovation. 

What You Bring:

• 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering AI or related disciplines within product or platform development.
• Proven track record of building and deploying AI-driven products or platforms at scale.
• Deep understanding of AI infrastructure, model lifecycle management, and applied AI engineering.
• Strong grasp of big data technologies and data engineering principles.
• Demonstrated success in leading small, high-impact engineering teams and scaling organizational capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, being able to translate technical concept into strategic business impact.

Qualifications

Bonus Points:

• Experience leading AI-focused engineering teams.
• Background in high-growth tech environment (startups, large-scale enterprises, or Fortune 500 companies).
• Familiarity with ethical AI, bias mitigation, and AI regulatory frameworks.
