Position Overview
This role will contribute to the operational efficiency of the department by streamlining insurance & risk-related workflows. The candidate will gain exposure to insurance processes and data-driven decision-making within a global subsea communications company. This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate insurance operations, including exposure to renewal cycles, claims management, and risk analytics. The intern will play a key role in improving the efficiency of SubCom’s insurance tracking systems and will gain valuable insights into the intersection of finance, risk, and operational strategy. They are expected to improve the efficiency of insurance renewal tracking, reduce administrative load, and enhance visibility into policy status. This experience will prepare the candidate for future roles in insurance, FP&A, or risk management within complex organizations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and maintaining insurance records for compliance purposes.
- Support internal communications related to insurance updates and renewal workflows.
- Conduct basic research on insurance trends or benchmarks as needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar dashboard tools is a plus.
- Prior internship or coursework related to insurance or financial analysis preferred.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.
- Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
