Qualifications:

  • Must live in or be located near or in the Iowa or Nebraska Area
  • CCIE R/S, ACDE or JNCIE highly desired but not required
  • Must understand the competitive Enterprise Networking landscape
  • Must have large scale Enterprise Networking experience across the Fortune 1000 customers or similar large scale vertical deployments
  • Expert proficiency in at least two of the following area of Enterprise Networking: Datacenter Networking, Campus Networking, Wireless, SD-WAN, SASE/SSE and Networking for AI Solutions.
  • The technical aptitude to learn new Enterprise Networking technologies
  • Must stay relevant with Enterprise Networking Market trends.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills are required.
  • Bachelor's Degree OR equivalent experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $150,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

As a Network Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), you will be partnering with Client Managers to provide the Enterprise Networking Pre-Sales support for our Fortune 500 customers. No two days will be the same as our broad technology portfolio for Enterprise Technology spans across several technology partners. With our Advanced Technology Center (https://www.wwt.com/atc) at your fingertips for briefings, training, workshops, demos and POC's you'll be delivering best in class results for your customers.

What will you be doing?

The Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) role will bring technical pre-sales support to the WWT Sales Team focused on Enterprise Networking. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include participation in customer sales meetings, presentations, white board sessions and custom technical design work. The CSE will team with local Client Managers to build customer relationships, partner with multiple OEM's and take part in technical trainings to provide continued value to the customers. Technical expertise expansion is highly encouraged as you look to learn about new areas of interest and be on the forefront of cutting-edge technologies. This position will require the ability to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities:

  • Function as the Pre-Sales Engineer for Enterprise Networking for WWT Clients within the Iowa Nebraska Region
  • Be a self-driven individual who is a motivated team player who can partner with WWT Client Managers to drive strategic discussions around WWT’s Enterprise Networking Solutions
  • Attend customer meeting with the WWT Account Teams to support Enterprise Networking and technology discussion
  • Assist the sales and services team in developing Statements of Work, Proof of Concepts and Bill of Materials for Enterprise Networking Solutions
  • Partner with the Consulting Solutions & Architecture team as needed to collaborate on customer network designs and architectures
  • Continue to develop and maintain a deep level of expertise in area of Enterprise Networking & Architecture
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to fellow Engineers as required
  • Simplify the overall messaging to our customers on how WWT can assist them in their journey to modernize their network architecture
  • Assist the core account team with creating proposals and presentations for WWT’s Enterprise Networking Solutions.
  • Develops and fosters relationships with strategic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and key technology partners who are local to your region and/or territory.
  • Strong personality with leadership skills working in a complex matrix organization.
