The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Family Law Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team based in our Brisbane CBD office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional eager to support a leading family law practice and contribute to a collaborative environment. You will work directly with Jitesh assisting in case preparation, client liaison, and legal documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support family law practitioners in drafting legal correspondence, affidavits, and court/legal documents.
- Attend client meetings and assist in preparing case files and summaries.
- Manage client records, diary schedules, and court deadlines.
- Manage files and correspondence with care and precision.
- Liaise professionally with clients, stakeholders, and external agencies.
- Assist with legal research and case preparation, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
- Provide admin support to solicitors to keep everything running smoothly.
Who We Are Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in family law or related areas.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in liaising with clients.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in legal practice management software; experience with family law cases is advantageous.
- Strong research, drafting, and document preparation skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with professionalism and empathy.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- Fluency in another language, especially those spoken by diverse client backgrounds, is highly regarded.
- A people person who genuinely cares about clients.
