The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Lawyer with 2–4 years PQE to join our Abuse Practice in Melbourne. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with Cameron and our experienced team on sensitive and impactful cases involving institutional and historic abuse claims. You will assist victims of abuse, provide strategic legal support, and help to achieve justice through litigation and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling matters related to institutional and historical abuse claims
• Taking instructions and providing advice to clients affected by abuse
• Preparing pleadings, affidavits, expert briefs, and related documentation
• Attending and preparing for mediations, settlement conferences, and hearings
• Working closely with senior lawyers and Cameron to develop your advocacy skills and expertise in abuse law

Who We Are Looking For

• 2–4 years PQE, with relevant experience in abuse law
• Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion in handling vulnerable clients
• Experience managing complex, emotionally charged cases
• Strong litigation and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A compassionate, client-centered approach with a commitment to social justice
