Position Summary: The Accounting Clerk will provide accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. The role is critical to ensuring vendors are accurately paid, and invoice and other expense transactions are accurately recorded.
Position Location: Milpitas, California
Position Type: 3-6 month contract
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Perform full cycle accounts payable functions, including GL coding, invoice entry, and obtain payment authorization approvals.
- Review and reconcile expense reports and submit for reimbursement once approved.
- Ensure monthly closing of accounts payable in a timely manner.
- Produce Accounting reports as requested.
- Assist in monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Set up and maintain AP records, reports, and files in an organized manner.
- Maintain vendor relationships.
- Assist vendors and employees with inquiries relating to invoices & expense reports.
- Assist AR in Printing Customer Invoices to PDF from the ERP system.
- Email Invoices to the customers per their request.
- Send monthly statements to the Customers.
- Maintain AR tracking of invoice discrepancies.
- Update Customer account billing email details in the ERP system
- Account Reconciliation experience
- Interact effectively cross-functionally with all accounting matters.
- Assist with annual 1099 preparation.
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills And Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 2-4 years of professional accounting experience.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite is required.
- Experience with Corporate ERP systems (Oracle Fusion is a big plus).
- Ability to be proactive, flexible, and to work well under pressure in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
- High standards for organization, attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Able to handle assignments independently and concurrently.
- Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong team contributor; ability and willingness to work hard to achieve department objectives.
- Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment as necessary.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
- Must have strong work ethics.
FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE

The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
