Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team, with a dedicated focus on supporting the facilities operations and capital expenditure of the Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets for Facilities Operations and capital projects. Monitor actual expenditures and committed work orders to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, including cost control summaries and tracking of major project costs. Provide variance analysis to monitor budget performance and highlight deviations for management review.
  • Enhance and implement fixed asset processes and policies, including classification, record keeping, and reconciliation. Assist in formulating the capitalisation policy.
  • Review and analyze project tenders to ensure accurate cost allocation and classification of capital (CAPEX) and operational (OPEX) expenditures.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts for Facilities Operations and major capital projects.
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for interim and year-end audits, including but not limited to yearend accrual journals, fixed assets schedules, and detailed expense analysis related to Facilities
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness. 
  • Performs ad hoc duties independently as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in accounting or a related field, member of a recognised accounting body.
  • A minimum of 8 years in Accounting / Auditing.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and schools.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.

Additional Consideration:

  • Due to the nature of the role, prior experience in construction, consultancy, or quantity surveying will be considered advantageous. However, we also consider
  • candidates with other accounting backgrounds and who are eager to broaden their professional horizons and gain exposure to facilities-related financial management.
