Summary:
The Senior Manager, SEC Reporting will support the preparation of ADT’s external reporting requirements as mandated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as well as some internal reporting. This role will assist in the preparation of the Company’s periodic SEC filings, the GAAP statement of cash flows, and other recurring and ad-hoc reporting deliverables. The position will also contribute to government and census reporting, internal audit support, and various information requests from internal and external parties.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Prepare periodic SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K (as well as other ad-hoc reports).
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, supporting professional development and performance improvement.
- Support the Investor Relations function in the preparation of earnings releases and investor communications.
- Calculate and present non-GAAP financial measures in SEC filings and investor materials, including reconciliations to GAAP.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to respond to audit requests and support SOX compliance.
- Review the preparation of government surveys and statutory and benefit plan financial statements.
- Prepare financial analyses and respond to internal requests for financial data and reporting.
- Review XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
- Lead projects aimed at improving reporting processes and adapting to new regulatory or accounting requirements.
- Stay informed on new accounting standards and assist in updating internal policies and procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field) required
- Master’s degree (or relevant courses) required
- CPA certification required
Experience:
- 8+ years of accounting and/or SEC Reporting experience required
- Experience in public accounting and/or public company accounting and/or reporting required
- Exposure to SEC or external reporting processes required
- Familiarity with Oracle FCCS, Essbase, Workiva, and XBRL is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting fundamentals
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines and team members
- Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Location:
Our office follows a 4 days onsite and 1 day remote schedule.
