Overview of the Role
We are seeking multiple Automation Engineers to join our growing team. These roles are ideal for candidates with expertise in either the DeltaV process control platform or PLC systems such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar. You will play a key role in supporting and maintaining qualified automation systems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and mentoring junior team members.
Scope And Responsibilities
- Work with DeltaV to optimize batch control in high-impact biologics manufacturing, or use Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLCs to drive smart automation across our global sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation support needs and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of system requirements (URS/FRS) and technical specifications.
- Lead or support continuous improvement activities related to automation systems.
- Generate, execute, and review/approve automation test protocols and qualification documents (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Interface with suppliers of manufacturing and process control equipment.
- Author and review departmental procedures, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure successful delivery and qualification of automation systems.
- Support automation aspects of capital projects across Alvotech sites.
- Lead or contribute to small and medium-sized automation projects.
We are hiring for two main profiles:
Deltav Specialists
- Proven hands-on experience with the DeltaV process control platform.
- Strong understanding of batch control, recipe management, and system architecture.
Plc Specialists
- Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or other industrial PLC platforms.
- Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial communication protocols.
General Requirements
- Minimum BSc/BEng in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Solid understanding of ISPE GAMP 5 guidelines.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment (preferably biotechnology or pharmaceuticals).
- Knowledge of Operational/IT infrastructure development, maintenance, and qualification.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
