Position Overview

This position is located in our Warsaw, Poland office and reports to the Sales Operations & Analytics Manager based in Poland. The Sr Commercial Analyst, New Portfolio, Poland will play a pivotal role in assisting internal key stakeholders including new portfolio leaders, Market Access Team, IT, Finance, Country Managers in understanding performance from both internal and external perspectives, utilizing various sources of information. The primary emphasis of the role is to work alongside the Sales Operations & Analytics Manager in enhancing new portfolio launches sales productivity and excellence through analytical support for commercial reporting & planning, while providing support on SFE analysis, sales incentive compensation management and development of commercial excellence projects.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Business partner with the portfolio team and local commercial teams to ensure best-in-class sales operations analysis and reporting for the new product portfolio and upcoming pipeline.
  • Lead analytics and reporting for the new portfolio, providing actionable insights to drive strategic and operational decisions.
  • Partner with IT and Data Management teams in building and maintaining the data infrastructure (data models, structures, governance) for the new portfolio.
  • Cultivate and nurture robust relationships with affiliates to understand local market trends.
  • Provide support to local markets in preparing and updating business reviews decks.
  • Provide support in designing, developing, and maintaining local markets metrics and analysis to empower country leaders in making informed and strategic business planning decisions.
  • Build models to assist in the evaluation of new products and strategies.
  • Collaborate with Finance Team in the design and implementation of the incentive compensation model for the new portfolio field force, ensuring transparency and motivation.
  • Analyze markets in respect to potential, customer basis and reimbursement status.
  • Provide and implement technical recommendations on the optimal utilization of business intelligence data, software, methods, and tools to enhance sales data and sales force effectiveness (SFE) analysis.
  • Collaborative team player with ability to work cross-functionally.

Physical Requirements

  • This role requires working from the office 3 days/week

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, statistics, finance, or a related field as outlined in the essential duties plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework).
  • Highly analytical with the ability to work with large data sets and merge them.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (PivotTable, Power Pivot, Vlookup, Xlookup, Index Match).
  • Proficiency in working with databases (SQL or equivalent), with ability to partner with technical teams on data structures.
  • Experience of Business Intelligence software (Power BI, Tableau, Excel Cube).
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with country teams to understand market dynamics.
  • Ability to communicate and present insights to HQ Management. Ability to independently identify problems, propose solutions and execute on those solutions.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Good organizational skills, including efficiency and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, statistics, finance, or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial analytics or data insights within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, healthcare and/or beauty & personal care sector.
  • Knowledge of SFDC (SalesForce.com) and Veeva.
  • Advanced knowledge of Tableau.
  • Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine. 
  • Knowledge of other European languages (French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish) and/or Japanese.
