Job Summary:

This position involves the creation and support of engineering procedures and process documents across a wide variety of engineering disciplines. It also entails coordination and cooperation with non-engineering groups and organizations whose processes are shared by, or interface with, engineering procedures. Document formatting, organization and the development of the procedure’s website will be additional responsibilities required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conversion, development, organization, formatting, and revision of new and existing engineering procedures documents
  • Interface with engineering teams to understand and document business processes and identify common points of intersection between groups and teams.
  • Coordinate with non-engineering teams to identify intersection points between their procedures and those of engineering and then ensure alignment between the two.
  • Work with engineering teams to audit existing procedures and capture ideas and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help develop and present training and progress updates to engineering teams and leadership.
  • Assist in the development and organization of improved tools and methods of delivery for engineering procedure documents.

Qualifications

 

Education/Experience:

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Technology, English, or related program.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship. 

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.   

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
