We’re seeking a dynamic Area Facilities Manager to oversee the operational integrity, compliance, and maintenance of aged care properties across NSW, with potential for interstate oversight.

About The Role

You will oversee 8–9 aged care sites, managing up to 15 maintenance staff and ensuring the upkeep of buildings, infrastructure, grounds, and equipment. Focusing on property maintenance, compliance and operational efficiency that supports resident care, community wellbeing and the build environment. The role requires a strong understanding of property management, legislation and the specific needs of an aged care facility to create safe, comfortable and compliant centres.

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Redfern office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement strategic facilities plans across multiple aged care sites, ensuring timely delivery of maintenance, compliance, and capital works.
  • Manage risk and emergency protocols, ensuring business continuity and safety standards are upheld.
  • Oversee asset lifecycle and vendor performance, driving efficiency and accountability across the portfolio.
  • Control budgets and financial forecasting, ensuring accurate tracking of operating and capital expenditure.
  • Maintain accreditation readiness, with up-to-date documentation, certifications, and governance across all sites.

About You

You’re a flexible, hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and takes ownership of outcomes. You’re confident working independently, while also engaging effectively with teams and stakeholders at all levels.

  • Demonstrated experience managing Aged Care environments.
  • An engineering, building or trade qualification / background preferable.
  • A strong understanding of Building Codes, Australian Standards, Essential Services, Statutory and WHS legislation.
  • Experience in overseeing / project managing of minor capital works project (typically under $150k) Contractor performance management.
  • Adaptable and able to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities.
  • Proficient IT skills, including facilities management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
