We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our Gisborne Network Outcomes Contract (GNOC) team. This role plays a key part in supporting our operational success by ensuring our contract administration, financial processes, and compliance systems run efficiently and accurately.
As a Senior Contract Administrator, you’ll provide high-level administrative, financial, and systems support to the team, ensuring all contract, financial, and compliance documentation meets Downer standards and audit requirements. You’ll also be a central point of contact for administration within the Gisborne NOC, providing exceptional service and fostering positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with various departments, administrators, managers, clients, and providers
- Support day-to-day administration tasks, adapting to changing policies and processes
- Ensure all financial and administrative processes align with company policies and business systems
- Act as the central contact point for GNOC administration and incoming enquiries, including managing the duty phone and reception support
- Maintain accurate records of contract and project documentation for audit and compliance
- Provide general administrative support including meeting agendas, minutes and notifications
- Assist with onboarding and induction of new staff
- Support financial and contractual aspects of projects, including reporting and monitoring costs

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive professional with excellent communication and attention to detail. You’ll have the confidence to take ownership of administrative processes and support the wider team in delivering outstanding operations performance
You Will Bring With You:
- Proven experience in administration and financial support roles.
- Advances proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience using databases
- Experience using multiple financial systems and strong data entry accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business
- Strong knowledge of MS Office; experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems is an advantage
