Team Overview
The Tax Global Delivery Network (GDN) works closely with KPMG’s Global Tax leaders to translate business requirements into a clear global delivery strategy for delivery centers that supports the needs of global KPMG solutions in Tax. It also creates and operates an interoperable, seamlessly integrated network of Global Delivery Centers to enable globally consistent delivery.

As we scale and build out the center, we are looking for a Senior Analyst to assist with day-to-day trade compliance functions and conducting research on basic to moderate assignments for the Global Trade and Customs Managed Services solution. The objective of this capability is to build a global managed services center for product classification, Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and Post Entry Review (PER) solutions that drives technology enabled standard processes that delivers consistent, high quality and continuously improving processes for efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions bringing together the best KPMG Trade and Customs has to offer at a global scale with local expertise. As a Senior Analyst in this team, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Assist with day-to-day trade compliance functions and conduct research on basic to moderate assignments (ex., HTS classification, free trade agreements, and post entry review)
- Review, update, and maintain databases supporting the Trade Compliance Center’s projects
- Update and assist with electronic file maintenance using internal document retention database
- Assist with training, setting priorities, and organizing and scheduling work
- Collaborate with U.S. and Global Trade & Customs teams
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Implement engagements from start to finish (planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects assigned to the team
- Manage engagement workflow, engagement team resources, and engagement billing
- Responsible for quality of work
Technical Competencies:
Hts:
- Responsible to lead the team mainly on HTS and FTA Projects.
- Responsible to perform end-to-end Quality check process and to deliever the data with high accuracy.
- Vast experience in classifying goods under Chapter 84, 85 and 90.
- Demonstrate experience in leading semi-automated tool for tariff classification.
- Streamline the existing classification process to reduce the overall cycle time.
- Classification Sr. Analyst is expected to work independently and mentor 5-7 team members.
Fta:
- Solicit suppliers for free trade (USMCA, CAFTA, KORUS etc) and country of origin.
- Good understanding on the Determination process.
- Monitor and follow-up with supplier solicitations
- Review supplier responses for accuracy and maintain up-to-date trackers
- Maintain/Review appropriate recordkeeping to support free trade claims
- Make the calls to the suppliers to get the faster solicitation responses when required
- Audit the solicitation accepted campaigns a weekly basis.
- Coordinating with Lead/manager to identify process improvements based on the monthly KPI's.

Qualifications :
- Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science/Commerce from accredited college or university.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suit Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- With at least 3 years of relevant experience in trade compliance
- Ability to support multiple projects, client service teams, and complete assignments accurately and timely
