Integration SW Engineer

The software integration (SWI) team translates system feature requests into smaller pieces of subfeature development and delivers those to system validation. Based on Software (SW) architecture understanding and system design insights, the SWI team integrates multiple components in simulation and on target HW, it performs scalability and performance benchmarks, and it drives product enhancements for usability and efficient field support. Due to close teamwork with experts in this demanding environment, there are many opportunities to grow your knowledge, gain experience, and develop.

Responsibilities

In your team you will work as Integration Engineer and be jointly responsible for 

• Guiding development teams on their task to deliver a feature
• Verifying SW component interworking in simulation and on target HW
• Delivering integrated SW features to system verification teams
• Executing benchmarks regarding performance and usability
• Support of validation and field support teams in problem analysis

Must Have

• Masters Degree or Diploma in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline
• Good knowledge in telecommunications such as Ethernet/IP, OTN, WDM
• Experience with embedded SW development
• Analytic way of working with an attitude to problem analysis
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Italian
• Structured, analytical, and independent style of working with an attitude to develop high quality artifacts and improve the system

Nice To Have:

• Experience with feature development and integration
• Experience with / (interest in?) interactive and post-mortem debugging such as stack trace and core dump analysis
• Experience with / (interest in?) static and dynamic code analysis using tools like Coverity and Valgrind
• First professional experience is a plus
• Very good communication skills
