Job Overview:

As the Head of Technology Finance, your role is to lead financial management and analysis for the Group Technology division, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes that support strategic decision-making. This role oversees cost management, drives process improvements, and ensures adherence to financial governance and compliance standards. This role closely works with Group Technology leadership and partners them in all their forward-looking strategies, providing financial guidance and oversight, ensuring cost discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of forward-looking budgets for Group Technology operations and Capex.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing key strategic insights to management, highlighting critical risks and opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with Technology leaders to maintain cost discipline and align financial planning with division’s strategic objectives. 
  • Conceptualise, develop and maintain financial models and tools to track and forecast technology costs and IT manpower planning, ensuring accuracy and reliability 
  • Oversee the development of detailed financial reports and dashboards for IT stakeholders. 
  • Conduct advanced cost-benefit analyses for key IT initiatives 
  •  Identify and mitigate risks in financial performance. 
  • Support leadership decision-making with actionable financial insights.
  • Partner with technology teams to evaluate and prioritize investment opportunities, assessing their financial viability and potential return on investment.
  • Enable business units to gain visibility on costs of technology services, applications, and infrastructure including cost drivers, allocated expenses, and translation of value delivered by IT investments through governance over IT pricing model basis Technology Business Management (TBM).
  • Partner Technology off-shoring strategy along with IT leadership by ensuring value proposition being met through regular monitoring of cost arbitrage effectiveness
  •  Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Lead financial audits and resolve any identified issues. 
  • Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks and policies for IT finance. 
  • Address regulatory submissions and maintain accurate records.
  • Driving cross functional collaboration amongst IT and Group finance teams ensuring pro- active stakeholder engagement, timely communication and dispute resolutions.
  • Develop and articulate informed POVs on the financial implications of digital technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Collaborate with Digital office teams to assess potential Fintech partnerships and their financial implications
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team. 
  • Provide training and guidance on advanced financial processes and tools. 
  • Oversee team contributions to cross-functional projects

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in financial management roles, preferably within IT finance in a banking environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis for IT divisions.
  • Strong understanding of cost management and resource allocation.
  • Technology Off-shoring experience in banking industries preferred. 

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Fintech industry trends, digital technologies, and their financial implications.
  • Strong understanding of technology cost drivers, including infrastructure, software licensing, and hardware procurement.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including cost modelling, variance analysis, and ROI calculations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
