Wix SEO Specialist

Schedule: Flexible during client business hours (New York)

Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced SEO specialist (preferably with strong Wix experience) to help optimize our website for both traditional search engines (Google/Bing) and AI search platforms (e.g. Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity, etc.).

Key Goals

• Improve on-page SEO (titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text, internal linking)
• Add or optimize structured data/schema (Organization, LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ, etc.)
• Boost AI SEO / generative search visibility through better entity signals, FAQ content, and topical depth
• Strengthen local SEO (Google Business Profile, citations, local schema)
• Ensure Core Web Vitals and page speed performance meet Google’s standards
• Provide a short SEO audit with prioritized recommendations
• Optional: Help us use or configure Wix’s built-in AI SEO tools and AI Visibility Overview

Deliverables

• Full SEO Audit (with priority fixes)
• Implementation of Key Updates (on-page, meta, schema, sitemap, robots, etc.)
• Local SEO Optimization (GBP, NAP, local schema, reviews strategy)
• Content / FAQ recommendations for AI snippet opportunities
• Tracking Setup (Search Console, Analytics, AI visibility, rank tracking)

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience with Wix SEO (please include examples or case studies)
• Knowledge of AI SEO / generative search optimization
• Strong understanding of on-page + technical SEO best practices
• Experience with local SEO for service-based businesses
• Great communication skills, able to explain what’s being done and why
