Senior Engineer, Supplier Quality

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Continue to develop the Supplier Quality Program.
• Qualify suppliers through the review of quality surveys, quality manuals and on-site assessments.
• Conduct trainings for Suppliers when necessary.
• Technical interface between engineering and suppliers.
• Supplier Development – Responsible in search for new suppliers and continuous improvement of existing suppliers.
• Monthly quality reports and other reports required by the company
• Handle and monitor the nonconforming issues with suppliers.
• Manage supplier NCR database and generate supplier quality reports.
• Manage Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) process, (send SCAR’s and do follow-ups).
• Root cause is quickly determined and a corrective action plan Implemented.
• Cycle time for closing RTV is reduced.
• RTV trends are monitored daily, weekly and monthly.
• Escaping PPMs are reduced.
• Frequently interacts supervisors of functional groups, gain cooperation of others, conduct presentation of technical information
• Review non-conforming parts from suppliers.
• Provide FA assistance to Engineering and Buyer
• Assist engineering and manufacturing with statistical analysis.
• Involve audits where applicable such as internal audits, customer audits and audits by 3rd parties
• Support other functions assigned by Supervisor

Education & Experience

• BS degree in engineering or sciences, prefer from the field of optics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience at international manufacturing company

Skills

• Experience of quality tool: FMEA, SPC, 5Whys, Problem solving, ISO auditor.
• In-depth machining and measurement knowledge.
• Ability to excel in a cross-organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment.
• Be able to communicate and write in English.
• Work independently with limited supervision.

Working Conditions

• Work in air-conditional environment at the office and production areas.

Physical Requirements

• Good overall health
• Ability to work under high pressure
