GL Reconciliations Accountant

Verisk is seeking a driven GL Reconciliations Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team based in Krakow. In this role, you will work alongside the Verisk Corporate Accounting teams in the US and globally to provide high-quality customer service to the Verisk business units and management team.

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account and cash reconciliations 
• Conduct the investigation and resolution of discrepancies and reconciling items in a timely manner 
• Book bank related transactions in Oracle Cash Management module 
• Actively participate in the monthly closing process, including expense and balance sheet account analysis pertaining to owned areas 
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the general ledger according to US GAAP, Corporate Accounting policies, internal SOX control and procedures 
• Ensure timely and accurate generation of financial reports and analysis for internal and external stakeholders 
• Support the audit process by providing documentation and explanations for financial transactions and account balances 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and auditing departments 
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of accounting procedures 
• Liaise with Business Units to complete various SOX controls 
• Maintain appropriate documentation for all responsible SOX controls 
• Participate in work transition from various location and lead special projects and initiatives as needed. 
• 3+ years of work experience in general ledger (including account reconciliation) 
• Master’s degree in accounting or another relevant field (or equivalent experience) 
• Fluency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) 
• Good Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) skills 
• Oracle ERP experience (Fusion preferred) 
• Good communication and documentation skills (oral and written) 
• Detail oriented, meticulous and extremely diligent 
• Continuous improvement mindset, curiosity and resilience 
• Willing to work in a hybrid model as a full-time employee from Cracow city-center based office 
• Team player with focus on common goals.
