JOB SUMMARY
The Health System Quality Improvement Analyst II (QIA II) will serve as an intermediate-level analyst supporting the development and administration of health system-wide quality and operational analytics. Works under direct supervision to produce intermediate-level analysis, analytics, reports, dashboards, and other resources in support of Health System Quality & Operational Excellence Department’s goals and objectives. Work is performed primarily remotely, however, there will be days where on-campus presence is required for team collaboration and department activities.

Experience And Educationrequired

  • EducationAssociate's Degree in healthcare, computer science, nursing, or mathematics  
  • Experience2 years of relevant experience. Equivalent years of work experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and automate clinical quality and performance metrics. Maintain knowledge base of data requirements and measure definitions.
  • Serve as a content expert for clinical quality measures by keeping current with national healthcare quality program guidelines.
  • Implements analytic approaches and technical methodology under supervision; executes work plan tasks as assigned.
  • Uses judgement to distinguish relevant from irrelevant information.
  • Uses factual data to produce and deliver credible and understandable reports.
  • Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and provide comprehensive analytical support for clinical performance improvement initiatives.
  • Extract, validate and summarize data from different large databases using data management and querying skills.
  • Analyze and organize data using appropriate analytical and statistical methods to efficiently track clinical processes and outcomes.
  • Assist in the interpretation of data to identify opportunities for improved healthcare delivery.
  • Participate in special projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
