Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for Kaituruki - Tutors to join Te Kauhanganui Tātai Ture - Faculty of Law on a fixed term, part-time contract for the 2026 academic year for LAWS121 to LAWS301 (excl. LAWS212 and LAWS297) but including Head Kaituruki - Tutor and Māori and Pasifika (MPI) tutor roles. In these roles you will be responsible for preparing, delivering and facilitating specific tutorial classes that support the course material. Individual course content requires differing duties for each course’s tutorials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and delivering tutorials.
- Providing student consultation via scheduled office hours.
- Attending meetings as required with the Course Coordinator/Pūkenga - Lecturers.
- Revision support as required prior to assessments.

Applications are welcome from law graduates, postgraduate law students and senior undergraduate law students who:
- Have at least completed their 200-level LAWS subjects by the end of 2025.
- Have a solid academic record.
- Demonstrate confidence, empathy and the desire to help students get to grips with their legal study.
