We are currently hiring a Full Time, Lead Recruiter in Boston*.
Job Summary:
The Lead Recruiter is a strategic talent acquisition partner responsible for driving enterprise-wide recruiting initiatives that align with Boston Beer’s long-term business goals. This role goes beyond requisition management to shape and influence talent strategies across key functions, partnering closely with senior business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional teams. The Lead Recruiter serves as a thought leader in talent intelligence, strategic talent attraction, assessment and inclusive hiring practices, while mentoring recruiters and championing innovation in sourcing, candidate experience, and employer branding. With a deep understanding of the business and external market dynamics, the Lead Recruiter plays a critical role in building high-performing teams that fuel Boston Beer’s growth and culture.
*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What You'Ll Brew:
Market Intelligence and Talent Advising
- Partner with senior leaders and HR to forecast talent needs and develop long-range recruiting strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead strategic talent planning conversations, identifying future skill gaps and talent risks.
- Deliver competitive talent insights, labor market trends, and benchmarking to inform hiring decisions and workforce planning.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership stakeholders, providing consultative guidance on talent acquisition and assessment best practices leveraging data as needed.
Recruiting Strategy and Assessment
- Drive innovation in sourcing strategies, leveraging advanced tools, AI, and analytics to identify and engage top talent.
- Develop and implement effective assessment strategies for all levels of talent with a primary focus on extended leadership roles.
- Deliver thoughtful and ongoing communication to the business on the status of searches; be transparent and work together with stakeholders to remove impediments.
- Bring thought leadership on employer brand strategy and work in partnership with Marketing and Communications to evolve our practices.
Candidate Experience & Engagement
- Champion a best-in-class candidate experience across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency, transparency, and engagement.
- Build strategic partnerships with external organizations, industry groups and schools to expand talent pipelines.
Operational Excellence
- Monitor and report on recruiting metrics and ROI to drive accountability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with all recruiting policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Represent Talent Acquisition in enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional leadership forums.
- Occasional travel for Boston Beer Company meetings, training, and job fairs
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor and coach Senior Recruiters, Recruiters and Recruiting Coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Lead cross-functional recruiting projects and initiatives, including process optimization, technology adoption, and inclusion and belonging efforts.
What Ingredients You'Ll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, including in house full-cycle recruiting.
- 3+ years in a strategic or lead recruiting role, preferably supporting senior leadership and hiring across enterprise-wide functions.
- Analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and improve recruiting outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working in Consumer Package Goods or Manufacturing led organizations a plus
- Experience working with Oracle Recruiting Cloud, PowerBI, MS Co-Pilot and AI-driven sourcing platforms
Level: 5IC
At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $100,000 and $170,000. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
