The U.S. Data Security (USDS) Safety Regulatory Compliance Operations team is dedicated to detecting, preventing, and responding to risk in the United States. Within this team, the Law Enforcement Outreach Manager will strengthen collaboration with federal, state, and local law enforcement while improving how we measure and scale the impact of our outreach.
This role may be exposed to harmful content as part of their core day-to-day functions, as well as in project work; in response to escalation requests; or by chance.
Some content viewed my violate our community guidelines which include but are not limited to bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
- Represent USDS in external engagements with law enforcement and government partners, delivering clear, fact-based insights on TikTok’s policies, compliance posture, and safety initiatives.
- Build and deepen strategic relationships with agencies across the country, supporting timely information-sharing and trust-building efforts.
- Design and lead outreach initiatives that advance law enforcement understanding of TikTok’s systems, legal process requirements, and safety measures.
- Drive continuous improvement of outreach operations by standardizing workflows, developing clear reference materials, and supporting the creation of training and engagement metrics.
- Lead the development of concise briefs and leadership updates that highlight outreach impact, identify emerging trends, and inform safety strategy.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Policy, LERT, ERT, Comms, and Public Policy partners to ensure outreach efforts align with company objectives and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Support priority initiatives, including election security, child safety, and counter-terrorism, through proactive engagement and data-informed insights.
