About The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Group ESG Controller to coordinate sustainability reporting and assurance at Odevo. As part of our growing Sustainability function, you’ll be responsible for building robust ESG data governance, internal controls, and external disclosures to ensure full CSRD compliance across our international group of operating companies.

Reporting to the Director of Sustainability, this is a pivotal role—shaping how we collect, validate, and report ESG data, and ensuring our reporting is both reliable and audit-ready. You’ll be part of a broader group function with colleagues across risk, compliance, and finance to strengthen Odevo’s sustainability performance and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Be responsible for ESG data collection, validation, and consolidation across the group.
• Ensure CSRD-compliant, high-quality, and consistent sustainability reporting.
• Design and operate internal controls to make ESG data audit-ready.
• Act as system owner for ESG reporting tools and data platforms (e.g. Sweep).
• Manage double materiality assessments and ESG risk analyses.
• Prepare sustainability reports and insights for management and the Board.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and operating companies to ensure timely and accurate disclosures.
• Support M&A due diligence and integrate new companies into ESG reporting processes.

You Are:

• Hands-on and comfortable building new processes from the ground up.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven.
• A strong communicator who builds trust across teams.
• Curious and continuously learning within the evolving ESG landscape.

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience in ESG reporting, finance, or sustainability data management.
• Proven expertise in CSRD and related frameworks (e.g. GRI, GHG, ISSB, SASB, TCFD).
• Experience in internal controls and assurance readiness for non-financial data.
• Proficiency in ESG data platforms (e.g. Sweep).
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with sustainability assurance frameworks (Ecovadis, SBTi) is a plus.
• Background in M&A due diligence or integration is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Sustainability, Business, or Environmental Science (Master’s preferred).
