Business Overview

Finance and Accounting provide business partnership and specialist accounting and financial analysis support to our investors and our internal teams through: Finance Strategy, Business Planning and Budgeting, Workforce Planning, Fund Accounting, Corporate Financial and Management Reporting, Corporate Tax and Regulatory Reporting, Accounts Receivable and Payable, and Procurement.

Corporate Services provides administration support to the business and manage our office facilities – along with reception, office services and client services.

Our Legal & Tax teams work with the business and our investors to provide support on our global products and services, and the markets in which we operate

The Role

Manage the Finance functions for North America including business partnering, budgeting & forecasting, management reporting, business case analysis and ad hoc financial modelling to provide business insights.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Support the preparation of the annual budget, business plan, and corporate forecasts for the North American operations.
  • Provide guidance on Finance processes and systems to the North American business.
  • Prepare and/or review business cases and ad hoc reports, delivering insightful financial analysis to key stakeholders in North America.

Business Performance

  • Work as a Finance Business Partner with teams across North America.

Policy & Process Management

  • Act as a key driver of process improvement within the Corporate Finance Team
  • Build a physical presence of Corporate Finance in North America.

Communication

  • Effectively communicates complex financial information and strategic insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Applies effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Exhibits advanced research and report compilation abilities.
  • Delivers reports, analysis, and proposals to management.
  • Represents the department in cross-divisional teams
  • Represents the North America region on behalf of Corporate Finance

Planning/Organising

  • Develops comprehensive departmental plans with input from Team Leaders.
  • Ensures resource availability for timely task completion.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of investment, financial markets, and products, across IFM’s core Asset Classes; Infrastructure, Debt, Listed Equities, Private Equity and Property.

Analysis/Problem Solving

  • Provides financial modeling support to the Product and Strategy team.
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities and collaborates with relevant parties to implement changes.
  • Conducts complex analysis and consolidates findings from junior accountants.
  • Provides expert advice to senior staff to resolve business issues.
  • Oversee and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.

Service Delivery

  • Liaise with stakeholders on escalated difficulties, problems or complex products/ services 
  • Evaluates and addresses the quality-of-service delivery within the section.
  • Delivers customised solutions that address complex or novel internal stakeholder/client needs to improve the overall experience
  • Demonstrates a client service ethic

  • Participates productively in team activities 
  • Fosters teamwork through recognition and appreciation of contributions

  • Develops and implements innovative financial and technology solutions to enhance efficiency and drive business growth.

Your Background and Experience

  • Experience (typically 10+ years) in corporate, and/or management accounting.
  • Must hold tertiary qualification in commerce, economics, finance or related field
  • Must hold post-graduate qualifications in CPA, CA or related field.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of IFM Investors’ investment processes.
  • Strong market knowledge across private markets / financial services. 

Business Knowledge

  • Proven experience in client relationship management, with a focus on delivering strategic financial insights and building trusted partnerships.
  • Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams, fostering collaboration, and driving performance across finance and business functions.
  • Commercial acumen with a strong grasp of financial metrics and key performance drivers.

Technical Knowledge

  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong knowledge of taxation laws, accounting standards, regulatory frameworks, and governance requirements relevant to financial services.
  • Skilled in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic business decisions.
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Power BI; ability to leverage technology for efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Comfortable working with large data and financial models to support investment and operational decision making.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Exact compensation amount may vary and will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills and qualifications. Total compensation for this role includes eligibility for a discretionary performance-based bonus.

$174,000 – $190,000
