Role Overview:
As an Oracle Data Center Technician, you’ll be a key technical liaison between our technology teams and the data center environment. You will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, escalating complex cases as needed. Your experience maintaining and following detailed documentation, operating with discipline, and responding to mission-critical scenarios aligns with this role. We value your ability to innovate, make decisions confidently, and follow procedures—key strengths of military professionals.
Work Environment:
This is a hands-on position involving a 24/7 shift rotation to ensure optimal data center operations. Like military environments, our data centers require operational excellence round the clock and rely on strong teamwork and communication.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable military technical training/work experience.
- Recent graduates and transitioning service members encouraged to apply—demonstrated technical aptitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability regarded highly.
- 2-5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure support or server administration—experience in military IT/communications or electronics roles are highly relevant.
- Mission-critical operations experience—ideal for those with backgrounds in maintaining continuous operations and responding to facility/system emergencies.
- Physically able to lift up to 25kg and work in cramped or elevated locations—akin to IT, communications, or facility roles in the military.
- Understanding of data center/electrical and cooling plant operations.
- Experience managing airflow systems (hot aisle/cold aisle).
- Experience installing and commissioning rack equipment.
- Strong structured cabling skills with fiber and copper.
Technical Skills:
- Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows, command line usage preferred).
- Hardware repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting (break/fix expertise).
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, troubleshooting).
- Understanding of IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86, SCSI, FC, Ethernet, remote management like iLO).
- Base operating system installation and configuration.
- Familiarity with core OS services (SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, Serial).
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter expert/data center liaison to technical and non-technical teams.
- Leverage your mission-oriented mindset to identify, triage, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Participate in installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of server hardware/software.
- Conduct system board repairs and diagnostics to meet service levels.
- Plan and commission new rack positions and contribute to new white space design.
- Perform structured cabling installations.
- Train on and adhere to safety practices and compliance procedures—mirroring your commitment to regulations during service.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $27.07 to $54.13 per hour; from: $56,300 to $112,600 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
