How will I help?

As a Regional General Manager (RGM) at Westpac, you have an opportunity to make a real impact through leading and shaping our Westpac and St George Retail Banking teams across Northern NSW.

This is a high-profile, Leader of Leaders role that reports to the State General Manager and will afford you the opportunity to contribute to state-level plans and decision-making. You’ll live and breathe our purpose of helping Australians succeed, whilst contributing to the delivery of Westpac’s vision and strategic priorities. You’ll drive service excellence through innovation, digitalisation, and efficiency, while ensuring customer satisfaction across SME, Consumer, and Wealth segments. As RGM, you will lead a team of Bank Managers across multiple sites, utilising customer insights and market intelligence to identify opportunities, drive profitability, and increase market share.

What will I need?

• The will to travel extensively across your designated regions of Northern NSW
• Leadership experience in a customer-focussed environment, with a strong understanding of the banking / financial services market
• Solid background in sales management and coaching to develop and inspire a high-performing sales team
• Ability to manage risk, create business plans, control costs, and drive multi-site performance 
• Charisma, ambition, drive and a proven track record of fostering a positive, people-first culture
• Strong awareness of the bank's regulatory and compliance environment
• An ability to lead from the front through periods of instability and change
