As a Client Solutions Architect Manager in  Omnichannel Solutions Group, you are an integral part of a team that innovates and supports the sales process for the technical adoption of comprehensive product solutions for clients with complex challenges. Leveraging your technical expertise in specific products and industries, you develop viable solutions that add value to clients, track how clients are using our products, and ensure results are realized. As a strategic leader in the Omnichannel Solutions Group, you will provide thought leadership on emerging and innovative omnichannel payment opportunities. You will drive the discovery and solutioning of merchant payment needs, ensuring that qualified customer insights are translated into actionable product requirements. Your expertise will help shape the future of merchant payment experiences by identifying market trends, uncovering new opportunities, and guiding the development of seamless, integrated payment solutions.

The Omnichannel Solutions Group is dedicated to uniting best-in-class components across Merchant Services to deliver a single, compelling solution for our clients. In this role, you will champion the expansion and optimization of payment rail capabilities, ensuring they are delivered in a consistent and client-centric manner. You will act as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and clients, leveraging deep industry knowledge to inform strategy and drive innovation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the configuration and modification of the firm’s products and solutions, often in partnership with Technology, to fit complex client use cases 
  • Supports Sales in solutioning and mandating deal stages for pricing, pipeline planning, and account planning
  • Engages with technical members of client teams to deliver presentations and technical demonstrations on product capabilities and solutions
  • Identifies and defines development requirements for product design enhancements based on client feedback 
  • Provide Thought Leadership: Identify and articulate emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in omnichannel merchant payments. Influence merchant thinking and direction by sharing payment insights and recommendations with merchant leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Drive Discovery and Solutioning: Lead structured discovery efforts with merchants and stakeholders to uncover pain points, needs, and opportunities. Develop solution options and recommendations based on customer needs and existing features
  • Translate Customer Needs into Product Requirements: Synthesize qualified customer insights into clear, actionable product requirements. Collaborate with product, to ensure solutions address real merchant needs and deliver measurable value.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise working across a related broad set of products
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a deep technical understanding to solution configurations in a specific domain 
  • Experience supporting Sales in pricing, pipeline planning, and account planning. Experience working with clients in a technology field and interfacing with engineers
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in omnichannel payments, with a track record of influencing strategy and driving innovation.
  • Extensive experience conducting client discovery and solutioning for merchant payment needs.
  • Proven ability to translate complex customer insights into actionable product requirements.
  • Deep understanding of physical and digital merchant payment ecosystems, including payment gateways and integration best practices.
  • Experience engaging directly with merchants to understand their business and payment challenges.
  • Advanced knowledge of product development, solution design, and data analytics.
  • Ability to lead workshops, discovery and solutioning conversations to uncover opportunities and inform solution design.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or more, as required by business needs.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive instore Card Present and omnichannel Payments knowledge
  • Demonstrated prior experience working in a highly matrixed, complex organization
  • Ability to grow payment initiatives from ideation to customer implementation
  • Previous experience in managing Gift/Stored Value and Private Label card integrations
  • Previous experience working with Local Payment Methods and Alternative Payment Methods
  • Point of Sale experience
  • Strong proven customer engagement experience
