As the Risk Management & Compliance Chief Data Office – CCOR Relationship Lead - Vice President within the RM&C CDO, you will be accountable for all data consumed and produced within CCOR across all information assets. You will focus on data risk management as a key priority, aligning with the Firmwide CDO’s mission to maximize the value and impact of data across the firm in a highly governed and controlled manner. This role provides an ideal, high-profile opportunity for you to showcase your talent and skillsets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and a trusted advisor within RM&C CDO for Data Owners and their executives, advising on data risk strategy and management of information assets, data risk identification, and providing ongoing support, in line with the Firmwide Data Risk Management Policy and Standard.
  • Partner with Data Owners, Delegates, and Technology Partners to align business and technology strategies for proactive data risk management, and collaborate on data initiatives and implementation plans.
  • Communicate and manage data risk initiatives and executable tasks for data owner teams (e.g., Privacy Notice Review, Annual Protection Certification, Classification Reviews), escalating issues to relevant parties as needed.
  • Collaborate with Data Risk Leads to understand requirements, operating models, and change management processes.
  • Provide stakeholder feedback to Data Risk Leads and maintain a strong understanding of the supported business landscape.
  • Oversee regional CDO-specific requirements, including metrics production and governance forums.
  • Direct people manager responsibilities, including performance management, coaching and development, resource allocation; along with managing day-to-day activities of the Relationship Team.
  • Host working groups and forums for Data Owners, Delegates, and business partners.
  • Engage in Data Use Council meetings and coordinate Data Use Case materials with stakeholders.
  • Operate the Data Quality Item Management process in line with Firmwide requirements.
  • Manage roadblock disputes and produce monthly commentary for RM&C DQ Metric reporting.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities 

  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment.
  • The candidate must be a self-motivated leader with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Experience leading high profile programs and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with senior management and other senior stakeholders, including influencing at this level of seniority to support the goals of the business.
  • Strong verbal, written, presentation and communication skills, including use of Excel, PowerPoint and other core tools.
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving skills; project and program management skills.
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills with groups outside of RM&C CDO; ability to build consensus at a senior level.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to direct and lead others, directly and indirectly, both locally and globally.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities 

  • Demonstrated experience in any Data Risk area (per the Firmwide Data Risk Management Policy and Standard) would be advantageous.
