The role of a Business Support Co-ordinator is required to co-ordinate a range of tasks, including supporting with a comprehensive recruitment service for the Environment and Transport department.
About The Role
You will support the Recruitment Co-ordinator in processing all departmental vacancies, ensuring vacancy control is followed using relevant authorisation forms, including pro-forma and advert templates. You will need to be confident in interrogating and challenging managers and chasing relevant information in a fast pace, changing environment. You will be a quick thinker, finding quick solutions to recruitment issues.
You will liaise with a range of customers including candidates, recruiting managers - including senior managers, Human Resources Colleagues and various organisations.
You will assist with the development of marketing/promotional materials and help to organise and attend career events.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- An NVQ 2 (or equivalent) or Qualification in appropriate subject & have a good standard of education including English and Mathematics at GCSE Grade 9-4 (or equivalent).
Or
Demonstrable experience identified within the section below:
- Experience of managing complex processes including embedding and carrying out business processes to support service delivery
- Experience of communicating with a range of audiences at all levels and be able to develop working relationships with managers, colleagues and customers and demonstrate working within a team.
- Have knowledge of Business Support Systems including Microsoft, data bases and any personnel systems such as Fusion, bespoke systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and must have accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timescales under pressure
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work with a willingness to develop and learn
- Able to respond confidently to customers and colleagues with understanding and confidentiality whilst maintaining an objective and professional stance.
You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
