Job Purpose: Associate - Safety is responsible for assisting in implementing and maintaining safety protocols across sites, ensuring compliance with organizational safety standards and local regulations. The role includes tracking safety performance data, supporting incident investigations, conducting training programs, and promoting safety awareness among employees and contractors.

Hse Systems Support:

  • Assist in implementing HSE systems across designated sites, ensuring consistency with group safety guidelines and site-specific needs.
  • Monitor compliance with HSE protocols, conducting regular inspections and escalating issues requiring management attention.

Incident Prevention And Response:

  • Document and report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring accurate recording and timely communication with site leads.
  • Support incident investigations by collecting evidence, maintaining logs, and assisting in the development of corrective actions.

Safety Communication And Training:

  • Coordinate safety communication initiatives, such as distributing bulletins, sharing best practices, and organizing safety awareness campaigns.
  • Support the execution of training programs, maintaining attendance records and tracking completion rates.

Audit And Compliance Tracking:

  • Assist in preparing sites for audits by ensuring documentation is complete and compliance gaps are addressed before assessments.
  • Track audit findings and follow up on action items to ensure timely resolution and implementation of recommendations.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Help develop and implement site emergency response plans, ensuring drills are conducted to test readiness and identify improvement areas.
  • Maintain updated contact lists and resources to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergencies.

Safety Data Management:

  • Update and maintain site safety performance data in MIS tools, providing accurate reports to senior management as required.
  • Ensure all safety records, such as training logs and incident reports, are properly organized and accessible for reference.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Safety Management.
  • Advanced Diploma/ Post Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred.
  • Basic safety certifications like NEBOSH IGC.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in supporting safety operations and conducting risk assessments.
  • Exposure to safety training and compliance processes.
  • Hydro PSP project experience is preferred.
