Mechanical Fitters

Starting imminently with 4 to 8-week duration. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will apply your expertise in piping setup, structural and welding fabrication, and boiler casings, Air Heaters and/or other fixed plant maintenance ensuring that all work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standards.

• Casual Role:  DIDO or FIFO outage, located at Callide Power Station in Biloela, QLD
• Project Dates:  Start date – Imminently for 4-8 weeks.
• Roster:  Monday to Saturday, Days/Nights, 11-hour shifts.
• Competitive Base Rate with casual loading on all hours + Overtime + Site Allowance.
• Other Benefits: LAHA or Accommodation is provided to distant workers.

About You

• Site Proficient:  Experienced in outages and projects in the power generation or heavy industrial sector
• Team Oriented:  Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills
• Workplace Safety:  Committed to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues
• Qualifications:  Valid Welder’s Ticket, Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (RIIWHS202E), Working at Heights (RIIWHS204E) and Construction white card
• Trade Certificate:  All Welding qualifications will be required to complete an onsite weld test
• Experience with Air Heaters is an advantage
• Medical: You are able to pass the required Wood medical. 

The successful candidate will undergo a Wood medical and will be required to provide certificates and WAH, CS tickets before undergoing the medical.
