Wood is recruiting a Project Recruitment Administrator (Oil & Gas), to join our Operations business as we partner with our key client in the Oil & Gas industry on a major Turnaround. Based in Perth CBD, this is an initial 12-month contract role available on a full-time basis. Immediate start.

Reporting to the Manager of Construction & Commissioning and Resourcing Lead, you will be at the front line of delivering a seamless candidate experience supporting all sourcing, competency, compliance and onboarding activities for a major Oil & Gas Turnaround. Your role is integral to our success and will require you to partner internally with recruiters, training coordinators, hr business partners, hiring managers and externally with candidates, referees, medical providers.
This is fast paced role requiring you to be both available and agile in handling candidate related emergencies and changes, by providing timely solutions with high volume communication at all times, to ensure minimal disruption to recruitment / medicals / onboarding.
In addition, you will be responsible for
- CV screening / shortlisting
- Scheduling interviews
- Booking and coordinating medicals for Trade & Craft candidates
- Monitoring compliance status for Trade & Craft candidates (tickets & medicals)
- Reference checking
- Creating offers in ORACLE Recruit Cloud (ORC)
You must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role and reside in Perth, WA.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar Recruitment / HR / Project Administrator role. A Business & Administration Certificate II (or similar) along with relevant industry experience within Oil & Gas / Mining / Building / Construction is advantageous (not essential). Previous experience supporting a Technical / Trade workforces for Turnarounds / Shutdowns would also be advantageous.
In Addition, You Will Be:
- An exceptional communicator (both written and verbal) with a professional presentation, proactive in your approach to tasks with diligent attention to detail
- Organised and have an ability to manage a range of tasks with changing / competing priorities while still delivering results – all at a pace!
- Punctual, reliable, conscientious and care to go the extra mile to make the difference
- A team player, who always has your teammates back and understands the need to work together to win
- A problem solver with a “solutions mindset” who never gives up, with the ability to work under pressure while being able to consistently deliver within complex environment
- Tech & Social media savvy, with excellent administrative and typing skills, with intermediate skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams), LinkedIn and Applicant Tracking Systems (Oracle Recruit preferred)
- Experienced in candidate management from recruitment to onboarding – CV reviewing, shortlisting, interview scheduling, completing reference checks by phone and coordinating medicals.
