The Role

Our placements provide an opportunity to really learn how a business works. During your placement you will be hands on from day one, you will be actively involved in business projects and your experience and knowledge will be utilised and strengthened during the 13 months with us. You’ll be based in our Weymouth office, working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to real business outcomes.

We have an opportunity for you to join this incredible business within the Platform Process Team to develop and deliver innovative and industrial processes for our SMT printers.

• Conduct process development test routines and experiments at ASMPT and/or on customer sites, using relevant industry recognised techniques (e.g. Design Of Experiment)
• Provide process solutions for customers
• Provide effective technical process support to other engineering departments at ASMPT
• Deliver and present detailed process reports to positively impact business decision making

You’ll be encouraged to take initiative, collaborate effectively and grow professionally.

About You

• Enabling the digital world offers enormous scope to develop your career beyond traditional ideas of progression or promotion. Enabling is always evolving.
• We want to hear from enthusiastic individuals who are currently studying for a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and:
• Experience of working with Microsoft office products and lab tools
• Able to think creatively ‘outside of the box’
• Demonstrate a thorough, logical, analytical and detailed approach to challenges as they are presented.
• Are able to communicate effectively face to face and in writing with people at various levels in the organisation to build stable and useful working relationships
• Are able to take ownership over their workload and organisation
• Demonstrate a genuine interest and passion for problem solving

You’ll be supported throughout your placement with mentoring, training, and opportunities to develop your skills, all while contributing to meaningful projects that support ASMPT’s mission.
