The Role

Are you ready to launch your engineering career in a company that’s shaping the future of electronics manufacturing?

We have an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join our Systems Test team and contribute to the development and testing of world-class Surface Mount Technology (SMT) printing equipment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be embedded in a team of experienced professionals, gaining deep insight into a specialist area while making a real impact from day one.
You’ll be involved in:

  • Testing complete machines and modules to verify functionality and performance
  • Diagnosing hardware and software issues
  • Performing system-level testing and recording accurate measurements
  • Documenting test results, faults, and repair actions
  • Collaborating with engineers across disciplines to resolve technical issues
  • Suggesting and implementing solutions to improve system performance
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout your work
Throughout your 18-month graduate programme, you’ll be supported with mentoring, training, and development opportunities. You’ll stay in one department, allowing you to build deep expertise and take ownership of your work, but also have the opportunity to see how all departments work together. You will be contributing to meaningful projects that support ASMPT’s mission.

About You

  • Have a strong interest in testing, diagnostics, and fault analysis
  • Be comfortable in working with electromechanical hardware and using appropriate tools
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with team members across functions
  • Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks
