HV Substation Site Manager

OCU are looking for an experienced HV Substation Site Manager to join our team to work out of our Cowley Depot in Oxford. The scope of work incorporates Substation Builds and Refurbishment, Cabling and Overhead Line work from 11 – 132kV.

You will manage Staff and Subcontractors and produce Safety Documentation, briefing teams when required including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits and Toolbox Talks.

You will also need to have proven experience in the following:

• Quality Inspections and completion of Inspection and Test Plans
• Ordering Plant and Materials
• Collation of documents and As Built Records
• Cost and Programme Management
• Management and Supervision of Temporary Works
• Record Keeping and report writing.
• Client liaison and coordination/interface
• Perform any other duties appropriate for the role.

To be successful in the role you will need: Excellent communication skills both verbal and written as you will be required to present to mixed audiences of colleagues and stakeholders alike, with exceptional time management, organisational skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, with attention to detail. You must be able to prioritise your own workload and manage expectations. You must also be willing to lodge away as and when required.

• SSEN Cat 3 Authorisation / National Grid CP and Persons preferred.
• Recognised Civil or Electrical Qualification
• CSCS Or EUSR card
• Temporary Works Co Ordinator
• SMSTS/SSSTS
• First Aid at Work
• IT Literacy in Outlook, Word, Excel
• Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Attention to detail.
• Full UK Driving License
