The Role

Are you ready to elevate your marketing career? An exciting opportunity for a Marketing Manager has arisen within our HillRom team at Baxter Healthcare. In this role you will work on improving marketing strategies, enhancing market positioning, driving campaigns, managing portfolios, contributing to product innovation, and growing market share across our Patient Support Solutions (PSS) and Global Surgical Solutions (GSS) portfolios.

Reporting to the Head of PSS/GSS, you will work on marketing and sales campaigns, effective portfolio and budget management; new product innovation while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure market insights and opportunities are easily integrated into the overarching business strategy for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic Annual Operating Plans based on key market insights and research
  • Lead marketing campaigns to achieve revenue and profit targets
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Partner with the Head of Commercial to review financial performance and lead P&L optimization projects
  • Present to senior leadership to secure financial support for marketing activities
  • Show flexibility and strong project management skills to complete multiple commercial projects and tender submissions
  • Invest ample time in the field with customers and the Sales Team to improve market presence
  • Engage with and sway influential figures to assess new product technology
  • Develop clinical utilization and references for public and private hospital contracts
  • Apply clinical and health economic evidence to bring value propositions and sales messages
  • Align with Global teams to define innovation strategy and product roadmap
  • Facilitate cross-functional brand teams with representation from various departments
  • Review pricing strategies and agreements with the Pricing Team
  • Provide market insights to the supply planning team for accurate demand forecasting
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Market Access for market research and planning
  • Lead, mentor, and appraise the Marketing team, monitoring and evaluating team performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure continuous training and development of the team
  • Assist Sales and Education Specialists with customer presentations
  • Cultivate ties with prominent experts in the field
  • Train healthcare professionals and company employees on new products.

Key Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Marketing/Science or related fields
  • 5-10 years of relevant marketing experience within the medical devices or capital industries
  • Proven people management experience to lead and develop direct reports
  • Experience managing a marketing budget
  • Strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to network, persuade, and present effectively
  • Deep understanding of the sales cycle and ability to close sales
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated, positive, and responsive
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Capability to engage and work effectively with a diverse range of collaborators
  • Excellent Presentation Skills.
