Production Operator

The Opportunity:

Be at the heart of the action at one of Visy’s top paper mills! As a Production Operator you’ll run powerful machinery, keep production humming, and help turn recycled materials into something remarkable.

• 12-hour rotating roster: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off
• Extra perk: Enjoy 2 paid weeks off every 7–8 weeks!

What You’Ll Do

You’ll be right in the thick of it — keeping the machines rolling, the paper flowing, and production running safely and smoothly every shift.

• Operate and monitor the paper machine and ancillary equipment to meet safety, quality and production targets
• Carry out regular maintenance and ensure machinery runs at peak performance
• Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

What you will bring to the team:

You’re an experienced operator who knows your way around big machinery and takes pride in doing the job right. You’ve got a strong work ethic, a team-first attitude, and you never cut corners when it comes to safety or quality.

• Solid experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude — trade or technical qualifications a big plus
• HNC Paper Technology highly regarded
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating roster (4 on, 4 off)
• Forklift experience desirable
• Sharp eye for detail and a knack for solving problems on the go
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
