Job Title: Patient Financial Services Representative

  • Location: Charlotte, Hybrid, requiring 2 to 3 days in the office
  • Job Type: Full-time

Summary: We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Patient Financial Services Representatives. In this role, you will handle incoming calls and assist patients with a wide range of finance and billing-related inquiries, including insurance coverage, payment plans, and explanation of benefits (EOBs). You will interview patients and/or responsible parties to collect or verify insurance and financial information, evaluate the need for financial assistance, and clearly communicate the patient’s financial responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze patient financial information
  • Verify insurance coverage and benefits
  • Communicate financial responsibilities to patients clearly and effectively
  • Handle billing inquiries and provide accurate information
  • Explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to patients
  • Process adjustments as necessary
  • Refer uninsured patients for financial assistance programs

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in patient accounting, insurance verification, or financial counseling
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in a healthcare call center is a plus
