The Opportunity
EY is currently looking for an Insurance Risk Consultant, who combines an analytical mindset with a dynamic attitude, to join our Actuarial and Risk Services team. You will be part of risk and actuarial strategic projects and support financial institutions in their risk and actuarial decisions and developments. You will also contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns and participate in client meetings and work within a team environment to deliver fully integrated benefit services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of key projects for our clients (life, non-life and pension funds insurance companies) on a wide range of topics;
- Adapt methods and practices to fit operational teams;
- Contribute to improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives, consistently driving projects to completion while ensuring the quality of the work delivered;
- Manage your time and be responsible for delivering to both clients and internal stakeholders, keeping a clear focus on anticipating and identifying risks, and escalate issues as appropriate;
- Working closely with colleagues, you will create a positive learning culture and coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor's and master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics or similar academic background;
- At least 4 years of previous work experience in the insurance or consulting environment;
- Relevant knowledge about IFRS17;
- Excellent analytical, research and communication skills;
- Ability to build team and client relationships and manage expectations
- Full English Proficiency.
Ideally, the candidate also have
- An understanding of risk and actuarial concepts;
- Experience in reserving or Solvency II is preferable;
- Knowledge in programming languages will be valued (e.g. VBA, R and SQL).
