Our Data Management Team is dedicated to advancing our mission of "empowering people and society through payment innovation" by collaborating with local governments and partner companies.
Through the implementation and operation of campaigns, we strongly support the expansion of Rakuten Pay users, the acquisition of new merchants, and the improvement of sales for existing merchants. This is a highly dynamic role that balances social contribution with business impact.
■Department Introduction/Organizational Structure
Our Data Management Team contributes to revitalizing local economies and solving challenges faced by partner companies through collaboration with local governments and partner companies.
This team requires advanced management skills to oversee everything from planning to managing large-scale cashless campaigns, practical data analysis skills to deeply analyze the effectiveness of measures, and strong project promotion capabilities and meticulousness to execute projects smoothly and reliably.
The team consists of about 4-5 members, primarily in their 20s, who approach their assigned projects with deep dedication and professionalism, striving daily to lead each project to success. For those who wish to dedicate their expertise and passion to socially impactful projects, this environment offers a highly rewarding and fulfilling way of working.
■Background of recruitment
In recent years, requests for cashless campaign implementation from local governments and partner companies have been increasing. To meet this growing demand, expand our reach to more regions, and further grow our business, we are now looking for new team members.
■Specific Job Descriptions
The main responsibility of this position is to safely and smoothly manage and operate campaign projects from the planning stage to completion. These projects typically involve "●% point cashback when using Rakuten Pay at eligible stores," which are secured by our sales team.
The client ratio is approximately Local Governments: Partner Companies = 8:2.
You will be responsible for a portion of a project with other team members. Each project lasts about six months, and the team will handle approximately 30 projects in parallel. Each member's scope of work is broad, allowing you to gain experience from planning to operations and utilize your multitasking abilities.
While direct communication with local governments and partner companies is not frequent, you will primarily work through internal communication.
▼ Examples of specific duties:
・Cost estimation and budget management for campaign implementation
・Coordination with local governments and partner companies, who are the main implementers of campaigns, and research on eligible store selection
・Requesting the creation of promotional materials and posters from internal staff
・Processing and managing point grants for users who participated in campaigns
・Reporting results (e.g., payment amounts) to clients
■Requirements
・Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and drive them efficiently.
・Ability to proceed with work accurately and meticulously, preventing risks proactively.
・Basic PC skills (especially Microsoft Excel).
・Japanese: Native level or a level that allows smooth communication in business.
・English proficiency at TOEIC 800 or above, or the willingness to aim for the equivalent level within two years of joining.
■Nice To Have
・Experience working in payment services or cashless-related businesses.
・Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP and other lookup functions, pivot tables, experience writing and using macros).
