Position Overview
Eurasia Group is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Associate Director to support the firm’s growth across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. This client-facing role will focus on strengthening Eurasia Group’s presence in the region by supporting client engagement, new business development, and strategic initiatives across both corporate and financial sector clients (including institutional investors).
The Associate Director will work closely with senior colleagues to deliver high-quality advisory support, strengthen client relationships, and help advance strategic initiatives that expand Eurasia Group’s footprint and impact in the GCC.
This position will be based in the GCC region (with flexibility on location) and will involve regular client engagement and regional travel.
Responsibilities
Client Growth & Engagement
- Support senior colleagues in managing and deepening relationships with both corporate leaders and institutional investors in the GCC region.
- Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including preparing proposals and supporting client acquisition efforts across corporate and financial sector clients.
- Help maintain strong relationships with existing clients by understanding their needs and supporting the delivery of tailored, solutions-based engagements.
- Stay informed on regional geopolitical, economic, and market developments to contribute insights and support effective client conversations.
- Coordinate and facilitate client interactions with Eurasia Group’s research and sectoral teams to enhance engagement and identify opportunities for cross-sell initiatives.
Strategic Initiatives & Market Development
- Collaborate with senior colleagues and leadership to support the execution of Eurasia Group’s growth strategy in the GCC, leveraging the firm’s global expertise and regional insights.
- Assist in the development of integrated client solutions by working with research, consulting, and product teams.
- Contribute to thought leadership efforts by helping prepare briefing materials, presentations, and event content for client discussions and industry conferences.
- Support the analysis of regional market opportunities and commercial strategies, including client feedback, pricing approaches, and product positioning.
Teamwork & Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across Eurasia Group’s global offices to ensure seamless delivery of services and coordinated client coverage.
- Provide operational and analytical support to senior colleagues to ensure high-quality client engagement.
- Demonstrate a collaborative and proactive approach to advancing the team’s commercial and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in client-facing roles within consulting, advisory, investment banking, financial markets, or corporate affairs; experience in or exposure to the GCC is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to support business development and maintain client relationships, with exposure to senior decision-makers at corporates or institutional investors.
- Strong understanding or interest in the intersection of geopolitics, markets, and business strategy; familiarity with emerging markets and GCC regional dynamics is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to contribute effectively in client meetings and presentations.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required; a graduate degree (Master’s, MBA, or similar) is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the GCC region and occasionally to Eurasia Group’s global offices.
